My small son has recently been talking about element skateboards all of the time. My friend is really into skating and has recently bought some inline skates which he is always talking about. It appears that inline skates are the skates that you really need to acquire if you are serious about your skating. However, I felt really sorry for him the other day because, after paying quite a lot of money for them, his inline skates were stolen only a couple of days after he had bought them. He told me that he had left them in the common room at school and, as he is at quite a prestigious sixth form college you would not think that such a thing would happen. He was doubly upset because he said that all of the people in the common room at the time were his friends and he found it really distressing to think that a friend of his could have stolen his skates. I was also amazed at this, particularly as I wondered when the thief would ever be able to wear the skates in front of him. However, he was adamant that one of his friends was the culprit and it has affected him quite badly in that he feels he cannot trust those closest to him anymore.
A friend of mine has just opened a string of skate shops London. She has been looking for a business to open for some time now as she came into quite a lot of money but she has been uncertain about what line to go into. Luckily, we all get on well enough with each other for none of us to take any offence and the gentle teasing we subject each other to and we do enjoy the most fun outings together when we are both back from our respective holidays. In fact I think I will really miss them for the next couple of weeks.
